I Thought I Found My Local Nazi Party Headquarters

And that I could finally pay off all the back dues I still owe them...

But it turned out to be a Buddhist temple instead.

  2. Ator, I checked out the Geometric Nucleus and it said the modern usage of the swastika in Korea denotes Buddhism. The Jains are in India, I believe. But yr right, the Jains are the biggest modern users of swastikas I had a job once mopping laboratory floors with bacteria killing solvent and I'd often muse about how I was like the opposite of Jain.

  3. good to know! makes me wonder why the swastika would be used to denote buddhist temples in Korea, while not so much in other countries. different cultures, different symbols, i guess

on a related note, there is a pretty well-known and somewhat controversial eccentric in San Francisco who has hundreds of tattoos of different swastika patterns all over his body. he can be spotted around the upper haight area, if yer ever on safari there ... ;)
